KIND OF REMEMBERED DEVIANTART EXISTED.

fdfjkdlfjfkls I suppose I should talk about what's happened since the month of may

- I'm now in the "hell year" of my school
- My grandpa died and all kinds of sad things went down
- I'm STILL working on my wire mannikin
- I DON'T watch anime anymore - I've progressed onto comic books, homestuck and police dramas.
- TF2 has suddenly become my favorite game
- Guess who draws in REALISM now~~~? (Besides a kind of cartoonish/comic book style as well)
- I have a crap ton of stuff I 'need' to watch (according to friends)
- Star Trek. I shall leave that at that.  
- I am much more socially involved, making a lot of new friends and participating in 5 school clubs
- One of those clubs is the dungeons and dragons club. You feel extremely geeky at first, but you overcome that.
- I would like to say I have matured a lot since I've last been on here. With all the sudden things happening in my life I feel like I've become a bit stronger, and now that most things have passed, I'm enjoying my life a lot!

Yay, a journal. For once.

HAPPEH CINCO DE MAYO BTW.

SO. I won't be posting animu art again. Sorry. When my art teacher learned I took up a comics class about two months ago, she literally made me take an oath not to draw anime. Because whatever you do, it will end up being copy art one way or another, and you can't become a constructive artist by doing such things.

I've been doing a lot of realism lately, but with traditional media. Specializing in portraits specifically. Other than that I have done a [surrealistic?] mixed media project "Time Flies" which won a silver key in our district scholastic art and writing competition. It meant I wouldn't be advancing to nationals, but I am pleased nonetheless. Also, a sculpture of an archimbaldo style head with pretty much random stuff on it made it to the county art show. Nothing big, and no awards, but still, pleasing to the artist.

My current projects, school and non-school are currently:

Life-size wire mannikin - 60% complete (school side project)
Drawing of the frog statue - 5% complete (school graded project)
Young! Kakashi cosplay - 10% complete (independent project)

Currently "Time Flies" is broken due to other students playing with it (there is a clock that jumps off the canvas via a spring) so as soon as it's fixed, I'll post pictures. As well as shots of school projects (which the head is still in the show, my bowl is in the dishwasher, and some are floating around being lost.)

Well, there's my artistic updates. School ends early next month, and I will be traveling starting early july. My cat is pleased.

Will be going as - Akasuna no Sasori (w/ 3rd kazekage puppet as a prop)
Will be participating in - Megacon Costume competition - children's division (fff- my birthday is NEXT month. ah well)
Hoping to obtain - Generic Animu backpack (my soul eater one is dying QAQ) another eddard elric figure, a good quality Sasori ring (fdaffjdla mine is crappy) and oh the generic posters. And maybe artist alley misc. stuff. (lol there's no way I'm going to get all of that with my funds.)

gbajkfhdlsahfsd. yeah. These are the last changes, I promise.  

And sorry guys, but i'm not a heta-tard anymore. 8/ but oh well.

I'll try to use a scanner to get some of my sketchbook art assignments up soon. Mine is dead atm.

Well, I'm actually only going saturday to mega. BUT STILL. THAT'LL BE FUN. I'm going as Mongolia, who is NOT an OC, Himaruya made sandbox doodles of him. IT'S GOING TO BE MADE OF WIN, BECAUSE I'LL BE THE FIRST MONGOLIA COSPLAYER EVER. LIKE, BEATING JAPAN TO IT EVER. :'D I feel Like I've accomplished something.

EDIT: I'll be the second. dang. Oh well.

The Angel Beats! Group is called off, sorry. :/ my Yui bailed and I won't be able to finish Naoi in time.

And sunday, I'm going to ULTRA~ The big techno festival. I'm so excited to see ATB, Tiesto, Skrillex, and others. :3

I finished an Iceland cosplay. And I'm making a (lol) Deidara cosplay. /shot And a Steampunk!Alice in wonderland.

As for art, I'm gonna try and do some tablet today. I've been doing a heck of a lot of traditional lately, which is why I'm all inactive. XD;;

OH! I got a silver key award in the Scholastic art (district division) competition! I'm pretty proud of that. Congratulations to all the Gold Key winners that will be moving on to Nationals~
